He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Stephens and Sylvia Stephens. He is survived by: his wife Mildred Shortt Stephens; his children, Nick Stephens, Denise Dodd and Robin Wilson (Robert); his grandchildren, Lori Dodd, Paula Uren (Chad), Stacy Karas (Dustin) and Leslie McDade (Mike); his great grandchildren, Alexis, Hayden McDade, Brittany Higdon, Grayson Bailey and Gabby Morrison; and his siblings, Betty Dawson, Liz Combs, Leo Stephens and Hazel Aviles. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home (5401 TN-153, Hixson, TN 37343). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the North Chapel (5401 TN-153, Hixson, TN 37343).
