She is survived by: her husband Carlin Carpenter of Soddy Daisy, TN; her children, Sharon Poston (Jim) of Hixson, TN, Cathy Fairchild (Scott) of Soddy Daisy, TN and Stephen Carpenter of Soddy Daisy, TN; and her brother Chester R. Miller of Perry, Georgia.. She is also survived by four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
