She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Earl Maddux, Sr. and Anna Irene Maddux (Downey); her son Eddy Byron Smith; her daughter-in-law Lisa Smith (Perrin); and her siblings, George Maddux (Jean), Edgar Earl Maddux, Jr. and Ruth Maddux Simmons.

She is survived by: her son Steve; her granddaughters, Callie Branam (Chad) and Laura Ann King (J. B.); her great grandchild Anna Reese; and her sister Deborah Clardy (Frank).
