He was predeceased by: his parents, Montague Chamberlain Petty and Goldie Elizabeth Neal Petty; and his grandchildren, Sierra Carpenter and Kaleb Millard. He is survived by: his wife Nelda Sue Sutherland Petty; his children, Shannon Shaver (Jeffrey), Traci Petty, Michelle Hamby (Randy) and Terry Cramer (Kristie); his grandchildren, Houston Shaver, Maci Shaver, Skye Millard, Brandi Smith, Tiffany Garrett and Samantha Cramer; and his sister Anita Sherrill Brown (Shirley). He is also survived by 2 great granddaughters, 4 great grandsons.
