He is survived by: his wife Billie Marie Taylor Kerns; his children, Tammy Neel (Todd) and Michael "Woody" Clayton (Selena); his siblings, Gene Kerns (Brenda), Judy Vandergriff (Danny), Karen Kerns (James) and Joyce Tudors (Wayne); his grandchildren, Crystal Carden, Christopher Forshee, Kayla Burns, Willow and Harper Lynch; and his nieces and nephews, Tyler Kerns (Amanda), Brittany Travis (Jayden), Chris Kerns, Wes Tudors, Jonathan Tudors and Jeff Huff (Faye). He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
