He was predeceased by: his parents, Viola Carlton and Thomas Carlton; his sister Jean Rothwell (Bill); and his brother-in-law Larry Robinson. He is survived by: his wife Wilma; his daughters, Samantha Baird (Robert), Vivian Schorle (Ryan) and Renee Hixon (Terry); his grandchildren, Mary Patterson, Ashton, Robert Tugwell, Anna-Meredith, Jacob Ingram, Jack Hixon, Adam Hixon, Alicia Baird and Adam Baird; his great grandchildren, Madison, Mallory, Clark, Rivers, Rose, Matthew, Axell, Daphne and Thomas; and his siblings, Jerry Carlton (Linda), Diane Robinson and Dean Carlton (Sarah). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home (1670 Market St, Dayton, TN 37321). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home (1670 Market St, Dayton, TN 37321).
