It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Violet Faye Durham of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, who passed away on March 28, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Massengale and Trula Massengale; her husband James C. Durham; her daughter Treva Smith; her sister Alma Poe; and her grandchildren, Menisha Vinson, Tiffany Smith and Travis Smith.
She is survived by: her daughters, Wynnelle Durham, Kim Whited (Tim) and Renee Essex (Ricky); her son-in-law Roger Smith; and her siblings, Charlene Durham and Hugh Massengale. She is also survived by five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
