She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Clinton Smith and Sophia Mae Swafford; her husband Arnold C. Johnson; her son Kenneth Smith; her son-in-law Malachi Nimmons; her grandson Brandon Darnell Rankin; and her siblings, Robbie Worthington, Iphigean Hickman, Richard Smith, Charles Smith, Thomas Smith, Cleveland Smith, Mozell Davis and Glen Alvin Smith.
She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Nimmons, Lisa Goodloe, Alma Hickey and Monicka Davis; her sister Alma Lee Davis of South Carolina; and her sister-in-law Cynthia Smith. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, relatives, and a host of other family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Hill AME Zion Church (14111 Lillard Rd, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
