She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Gordon and Corean Chambers Graham; her husband Richard A. Barnes (U. S. Navy); and her brother Jimmy Graham. She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Parks (Rodney) and Laura Walker (Blain); her siblings, Peggy Carothers, Larry Graham and Mickey Graham; and her grandchildren, Paige Walker, Richard Parks, Ragan Walker (Learyn Miller), Kendall Bullock (Cody) and Emma Walker.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Somerville First Baptist Church.
