He is survived by: his wife Gale Ward-Powell; his children, Dr. Mechelle Powell, Bianca Taylor (Christopher), Deidra Powell, Reyanaldo Powell (Linda) and Corey Powell (Irene); and his sister Margaret Somerville.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mary Lee Mabone Memorial Chapel. Viewing was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:55 AM at the House of Faith Ministries (14915 TN-76, Somerville, TN 38068). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
