It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Sue Stephens of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, who passed away on February 1, 2026, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Scharer and Bessie Graham Scharer; and her siblings, Patty Barnes, Ann Ridley, Ted and Don Scharer.
She is survived by: her husband Jimmy Stephens; her daughters, Debbie Haggard (Tim) and Connie Blevins (Ray); her nieces, Amy Jordan (Wayne) and Melissa Houston (Travis); her grandchildren, Tyler Haggard, Nicole Sowder (Brian), Derek Blevins (Marissa) and Aubrey Houston; her great grandchildren, Cameron Medrano, Coy Haggard, Brison Sowder, Benton Blevins and Beckett Blevins; and her sister Reba Scharer. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
