He was predeceased by: his parents, Royal Keith and Bertha Hansel Whitaker; and his siblings, Howard, Ivan Whitaker, Pauline Burgen, Mary Lincus, Nina Arnett and Byrl Noe.
He is survived by: his wife Gladys Whitaker; and his stepsons, Steve Qualls (Tena) and Stacy Qualls (April).
