He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Annie Martin; his parents, Almont Mitchell and Marie Hollingsworth Mitchell; his children, Virginia Marie "Jennarie" Zarka of Houston and Robert Almont Mitchell (Jane) of Whiteville, TN; his grandson Roman Zarka (Holly); his children, Jessica Zarka Calcote (Tracy), Almont "Monty" Mitchell, Jr., Dr. Charles "Austin" Mitchell, III (Leslie) of Nashville, Aaron Mitchell (Angela), Ayse Mitchell (Chris Benson), Estelle Mitchell and Annie Mitchell (Riley); his nephews, Robert, William and Charles Jolley; and his sister Virginia Mitchell Jolley. He was also cherished by 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
