He was predeceased by: his parents, Dibrell Lee and Daisy Belle Jones Young; and his siblings, Fannie Brock, Lillie Belle Barlow, James Cecil Young and Johnny Young.
He is survived by: his wife Rita McCoy Young; his children, Joe Pat McCoy and Nichole Lee Jackson (Greg); his grandchildren, Lee Griffin (Bashi), Austin McCoy, Kelly Jackson (Nathan) and Tara Harris (Will); his caregiver Dondi Deusen; and his siblings, Clara Mae Thompson, Gladys Garrell, Josephine Pittman, Debbie Young, Lora Ann Stouder (Shawn), Georgia Marie Brown (Mike), Paul Young (Jessie), Lloyd Young, Lyle Eugene "Ricky" Young and Jerry Young.
