He was predeceased by: his parents, Foster V. Young and Thelma England Young; his wife Marie; his children, Lori Young and Alan Young; and his siblings, Charles Edward Young, Arlie Young, Minnie Lee Kerley, Glinda Sue Young, Rachel Oliver, Earnestine Cope, Thomas Howard Young, James Ray England, Kenneth Gentry Young, Quentin Taylor Young and Marie Seibers.
He is survived by: his daughter Janet Gentry Farley (Chris); and his grandchildren, Kelly Johnson (Brad), Lindsay Farley Madewell and Tyler Farley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 4th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hunter Funeral Home (120 Bockman Way, Sparta, TN 38583). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home (120 Bockman Way, Sparta, TN 38583).
