Though Herbert may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lemon C. Smith and Maude Elrod Smith; his wife JoAnn Smith; and his son Keith Smith. He is survived by: his children, Jack Smith of Sparta, Jill McCulley (Bryan) of Sparta, Kay Sims (Mike) of Sparta and Jennifer Campos of Sparta; and his grandchildren, Ryan McCulley, Rachel Whittenburg, Josh Smith, Aubrey Rice and Siera Griffin.
