He was predeceased by : his parents, Jay Drake and Ruby Lumsden Drake; and his daughter Kimberly Drake Peigh. He is survived by : his wife Judy Williams Drake; his children, Kelly Drake of Chattanooga and John Drake (Kristine) of Murfreesboro; his grandchildren, Chad Peigh, Lyle Drake (Charlotte) of Newman, Georgia and Evelyn Drake of Los Angeles; and his stepgrandson Will.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Oak Lawn Funeral Home (1786 Smithville Hwy, Sparta, TN 38583). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
