She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Smith and Lena Howell Smith; her husband Jim "Hoot" Gibson; her daughter Tammy Hensley; her son-in-law Mark Hensley; her brother Von Smith; and her siblings-in-law, Pearl Smith and Terry Whiteaker.
She is survived by: her siblings, Earl Smith and Joyce Whiteaker; her nieces, Marla Moore (Steve) and Emily Jones; her nephew Steve Randolph (Janie); and her great-nephews, Eli Price, Smith Bennington and Evan Smith.
