It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Dean Austin of Sparta, Tennessee, born in Crossville, Tennessee, who passed away on April 16, 2024, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Elanze Austin, Jr. and Barbara Anne Austin; and his siblings, Elanze Austin III, Billie Roberts Austin, Teresa Fay Austin and Mariann Spivey.

He is survived by : his children, Sharree Austin and Corey Austin (Tyler Austin) of Jacksonville; the mother of his children Carrie Austin of Sparta; his grandchildren, Talencia, Tatiana, Ticarra, Anthony, Ethan and Skyler Fay; and his sisters, June Jennings (Richard) of Smithville, TN and Peggy Austin of Crossville. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hunter Funeral Home (120 Bockman Way, Sparta, TN 38583). A memorial service was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
