He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Pitman and Beatrice Cunningham Pitman; and his siblings, Bob Pitman, Gene Pitman, Barbara Jones, Eulaine Pedigo and Katherine Pitman.
He is survived by: his wife Dotty Humphrey Pitman; his son Jason (Angie Pitman); his grandchildren, Luke and Bella Pitman; his brother Dewey (Linda Pitman); and his close friend Sady Howard.
