With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wade Stewart (Sparta, Tennessee), who passed away on October 11, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Wade may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Franklin Stewart and Betty Sullivan; his wife Opal Elaine Stewart; his son James Michael Stewart; and his granddaughter Jamie Michele Stewart.
He is survived by: his children, Chris Nash (Paula) of Tracy City, Frankie Stewart (Ashley) of Sparta, TN and Amber Zile (Reed) of Sparta, TN; and his sister Linda Simons of Florida. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Thurman Funeral Home (44 N Main St, Sparta, TN 38583). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Saylors Cemetery.
