He is survived by: his son Phillip Carter (Rosemary) of Monterey, TN.; his grandchildren, Ryan Scott Carter, Clinton Thomas Carter and Rebecca Carter Sawyer; his great grandchildren, Austin Dale Carter, Cathryn Rose Carter, William Price Carter and Caroline Ann Carter; and his close friend Eileen Means (William).
