He was predeceased by: his parents, Okey Everett and Juanita Harris Starcher; his stepfather Hugh Cotrill; and his nephew Glen Miller. He is survived by: his wife Kathie "Jeannie" Thomas Starcher; his sons, Jeremy McCumbers and Jesse Sampson of Barbourville, Kentucky; his grandsons, Skylar Sampson and Colin Dyke; and his siblings, Leroy Starcher of Leroy, Bobby Joe Cotrill of Big Springs, Westvirginia, Wanda Bennett of Ripley and Nina Jones of Ripley. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
