Gertrude May Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude May of Spencer, Tennessee, who passed away on September 8, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Audrey Harvey and Neoma Brooks Campbell; her husband Robertle "Bud" May; her son Kevin Brymer; and her siblings, Jerry Campbell, Ralph Huntley, Milton Campbell, Willa Bishop, Esther Murphy and Violet McClowler.
She is survived by: her children, Tommy Turner (Tina), Jeff Turner (Tammy), Dale Turner (Christy), Bobby Turner (Sheryl Vanover), Michael Mays (Cindy), Audrey "Sue" Hopkins (Jerry) and Louise Christian (Marv); and her brother Maynard Campbell. She is also survived by Twenty-six grandchildren, seventy-seven great-grandchildren, fourteen great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Layne Funeral Home & Cremation Services (151 Argo Rd, Spencer, TN 38585). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
