He was predeceased by: his daughter April Simmons; and his siblings, Bobby Simmons (Jewel) and Mary Lucille Simmons. He is survived by: his significant other Dianne Day; his children, Joey Simmons and Felicia Etezadi (Amir); his siblings, Ronnie Simmons (Ann), Ricky Simmons (Patricia), Danny Simmons (Jamie) and Reta Ferree (Frank); and his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Throckmorton and Gavin Etezadi.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Layne Funeral Home & Cremation Services (151 Argo Rd, Spencer, TN 38585). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
