She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Gordon Smith and Minnie Smith (Pendergrass); her former husband Jerry Gill; her in-laws, Kermit and Bessie Thompson; her sister-in-law Pat Smith; Wayne Smith and Luke Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Thompson; her children, Derrick Gill (Lisa) of Lancaster and Belinda Hill (Chris) of Spring City; her grandchildren, Chase Creasman of Spring City, Kaitlyn Waldroup (Elijah) of Decatur, Grant Gill, Eva Gill and Hallie Gill of Lancaster, Ohio; her child Wren Nicole Waldroup; her siblings, Donnie Smith (Cathy), Larry Smith, Mike Smith (Cathy), Cathy Keltch (Joe) and Teresa Gunther (Chuck); and her sisters-in-law, Nada Smith of Spring City, Shonnie Jordan (Ricky) of Spring City and Ann Dvorak (Mark) of Richland Hills, Texas. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Connie kindly requested that donations be made to the New Hope Independent Baptist Church, 2219 Watts Bar Highway, Spring City, TN 37381.
