He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen F. Smith and Marie Bolton Smith; his siblings, Charlotte Smith, Emily Travis, Mary Ann Stepp, Glenna Tudor and Ronnie Smith; and his half-brother Pat Douglas.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Smith of Spring City, Tennessee; his sons, Keith Smith (Paula) of Spring City and Kevin Smith (Teresa) of Grandview, Tennessee; his siblings, Steve Smith (Karen) of Spring City, Tennessee and Brenda Dodson (Ronnie) of Mechanicsville, Virginia; his grandchildren, Jessica Eads (Jonathon), Collin Smith (Katie), Evan Smith (Claudia), Lindsay Bass (Riley), Casey Stryker (April) and Kristin Nichols (Zack); and his great grandchildren, Reed Bass, Gauge Stryker, Millie Stryker, Riley Nichols and Marlee Nichols.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given to the First Baptist Church of Spring City, 374 W. Jackson Ave., Spring City, Tennessee 37381 in his memory.
