He was predeceased by: his parents, Ninevah Lee and Pearl Katherine Dodson Byrd; his children, Tommy Byrd and Teresa Ann Dodson; and his grandson Dillon Dodson.
He is survived by: his grandson Josh Dodson of Chattanooga, Tennessee; and his close friend Donna Kunkel of Grandview. He is also survived by two great grandchildren; and his dog.
