In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy John leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though John may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, W. F. Chattin (Bill) and Nelle Clack Chattin; his brother Glenn Chattin; and his sister-in-law Helen Roddy Chattin. He is survived by: his wife Linda Summers; his brother Fred Chattin; and his sisters-in-law, Joyce (Fred) and Aline (Glenn). He is also survived by nephews, grandnephews and nephews-in-law.
Visitation was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Vaughn Funeral Home (150 New Lake Rd, Spring City, TN 37381). The lying in state was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Yellow Creek Baptist Church (5225 Wolf Creek Rd, Spring City, TN 37381). A funeral service was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
