She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley McLaughlin and Virginia Lesnovich McLaughlin. She is survived by: her husband Robert Whipple; her son Shawn Bates; her brothers, Stanley McLaughlin of Arizona and Andrew McLaughlin of Florida; and her grandchildren, Allysa Bates and Aaron Bates.
A graveside service was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Friendship Cemetery (590 Cemetery Rd, Spring City, TN 37381).
