He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Clawson and Mary Jane Ford Clawson Sr.; his wife Emily "Jo" Clawson; and his siblings, Ulyess Clawson, Dewey Clawson Jr., Jimmy Clawson, Robert Clawson, Charles Clawson, Izora Clawson and Rhoda Clawson Collins.
He is survived by: his sons, Lester Clawson of Spring City and Donald Clawson of Spring City; and his sister Hassie Stamely of Rockwood, Tennessee.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
