Betty Kate Townsend Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Kate Townsend (Springfield, Tennessee), who passed away on February 23, 2018 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by : her husband Milton Houck Townsend; her siblings, William Miles, John Miles and Ruth Miles Jones of Springfield; and her nieces and nephews, Kathy Jones Sneed (Bob) of Cedar Hill, Evelyn Duval of Chattanooga, Nancy Sprenger (Mike) of Crossville, William Jones (Caffie) of Springfield and Richard Jones (Jana) of Goodlettsville.

In lieu of flowers, family members and friends are asked to make contributions to the Betty and Milton Townsend Endowed Scholarship at Union College for a student majoring in English, in Barbourville, Ky.
