We are sad to announce that on August 7, 2025, at the age of 80, Douglas Veron Lyon of Springfield, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Veron Lyon and Helen Hobbs Lyon. He is survived by: his wife Sidney Carlton Lyon; his daughter Joyce Haggard (Barry); his grandchildren, Lindsay Greer (Jake), Abigail Brown (Jaren) and Sophie Haggard; and his great grandchild Jameson Brown. He is also survived by neighbors and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cheatham County Funeral Home (117 Elizabeth St, Ashland City, TN 37015). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery (7931 McCrory Ln, Nashville, TN 37221).
