With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roger Dale Phelps of Springfield, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 28, 2026 at the age of 66. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Roger Dale Phelps to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Gene Phelps and Florence Loubell Plunkett Phelps; his son Todd Needham; and his brothers, Jimmy Craig and Bobby Phelps.
He is survived by: his children, Bonnie Moore (Bo), Brian Phelps, Iris Mantlo (Ricky) and Brad Needham (Lori); his grandchildren, Cameron Phelps, Christopher Warren, Chloe Mantlo, Bailey Swainson (Chase), Kaitlyn Carroll (Jacob), Tyler Jackson and Caitlyn Lee (Zach); his great grandchildren, Tyra Lee, Tori Lee, Tanner Lee and Paisley Swainson; his brothers, Ray Phelps and Terry Phelps (Janet); and his close friends, Kathy Phelps and Kathrine Surerus Davis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to Austin & Bell Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
