He is survived by: his wife June Williams Shankle; his children, Rebecca Lemonds of Paris, TN and Jay Daniel Shankle (Jennifer) of Rossville, GA; his sisters, Kay Valentine of Paris, TN, Julia Graves of Bradford, TN, Rose Hoffman of Buchanan, TN and Patty Inlow (Larry) of Paris, TN; his grandchildren, Larz Lemonds, Jessica Lemonds, Ashley Gaut (Ryan), Landen Shankle, Anna Barksdale (Jonah), Addison Shankle and Eli Shankle; and his close friends, Charlie Cuthbertson and Jackie Traywick. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
