He was predeceased by : his brother-in-law Miller Dent. He is survived by : his parents, Ronald Woods and Hobby Woods of Stanton, TN; his wife Paige Newman Woods of Dancyville, TN; his children, Charles Woods (Katie) of Dancyville, TN, Mary Nelle Jones (Michael) of Franklin, TN, Rachel Woods of Memphis, TN and McKenzie Peeler (Huffman) of Arlington, TN; his siblings, Everett Woods, Jr. (Amy) of Stanton, TN and Rhonda Dent of Bolton, MS; and his grandsons, Harrison Jones, Jack Jones, Wyatt Woods, Owen Woods and John Huffman Peeler. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to Braden United Methodist Church – Dayshore Fund, 230 Hwy 59, Mason, TN 38049.
