He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Drilling and Jean Mize; and his wife Teresa Ann Mize. He is survived by: his children, Brandi McAnulty (Brad), Brittany Jones (Josh) and Josh Mize (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Ally Flanagan (Ty), Chelsea Blalack (Dylan), Ryan Mize, Ellie McAnulty, Maddie Fleming, Cooper Powell and Zane Jones; his great grandchildren, Lane Flanagan, McCoy Flanagan, Grady Blalack and Mary Ann Blalack; and his siblings, Lana Glass (Phil), Tanya McDivitt and Benton Mize (Kim).
