John Scott Taylor Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Clayton and Mildred Marie Swanner Taylor; and his brother Johnny Taylor. He is survived by: his brother Kevin Mac Taylor (Jeanne) of Bradenton, Florida; his son Cameron Taylor (Erin Hatfield) of Knoxville; and his pets, Poppy, Pie and Maxwell.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Trentville Cemetery (9236 Strawberry Plains Pike, Strawberry Plains, TN 37871). Though he held many jobs throughout his life, Scott was most proud of working in the emergency department at the University of Tennessee Medical Center for 17 years until he retired, including through the pandemic.
