He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Ann Costello; and his stepfather Douglas Costello. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Slaughter of Sugar Tree, TN; his children, Jimmy Slaughter (Kim) of Union City, TN, Ed Starkey of Atoka, TN and Brandie Carr (Doug) of Burlison, TN; his siblings, Mike Slaughter (Linda) of Russellville, KY, Patrick Slaughter (Elaine) of Spring, TX and Cindy Bennett (Randy) of Pheonix, AZ; his grandchildren, Hailey Slaughter, Garrett Slaughter, Drew Carr (Emmy), Blake Carr (Mikayla Ditto), Chelse Starkey, Andrew Starkey (Jessica) and Michael Starkey (Jennifer); and his great grandchildren, Will Carr, Hattie Mae Jones, Makala Starkey, Addison Starkey and Ella Hayden. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and at 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery Chapel at Parker Crossroads.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations made to the Parsons Masonic Lodge Scholarship Fund in memory of Bruce Slaughter at 1979 Prospect Road, Holladay, TN 38341.
