He is survived by: his sons, James Hicks, Jr. (Julie) and Norman Hicks, Sr. (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Perry Hicks, Alex Hicks (Gemma), Norman Hicks, Jr. (Jessica) and Jamie Hicks; his great grandchildren, Riley and Atticus Hicks; and his sister-in-law Edith Morehead. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
