He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Wesley Hughes and Dora Lee Shinall; and his siblings, Cecil (Gladys), Juanita (Willard) and Inez Easter (A. D.).
He is survived by: his significant other Jo Hughes; his children, Cynthia Diana Hughes and Ken Hughes; and his brother Lamar Hughes (Judy).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Kyker Funeral Homes Our Sweetwater Chapel (113 W North St, Sweetwater, TN 37874). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sweetwater Memorial Park (1838 US-11, Sweetwater, TN 37874).
