He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Bettis and Pearl Bettis; his brother James Allen "Jim" Bettis; and his brother-in-law Allen Jett. He is survived by: his sisters, Patricia Jett of Sequin, TX. and Brenda (Pat McGinnis). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cedar Fork Cemetery Fund.
