He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Mitchell and Bernadean Jacobi; and his son Harold D Mitchell Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Mitchell; his sister Nancy Stone; his children, Christy Mitchell, Sherri Bussey, Debra Ribblett (Jace), Dan Mitchell (DiAnna) and Diane Mitchell (Rick Casaday); and his stepsons, Tom Norris (Kerri) and Steven Bobbitt (Laura). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

“Dear Mitchell Family, I know it’s been just over a year since you have lost your loved one. We are so sorry for your lost. We just now found out about him passing. We stopped by his house to check on him and the new owners told us. We always cleaned his cars for him. The last time we seen him was summer of 2019. We didn’t really see him much in the winter months. Then the Virus hit and we thought maybe he was staying in. He will be greatly missed.”
