He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Kranz and Ruth Kranz; and his sister Jean Kranz Watren. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Davis Kranz; his sons, Rick Kranz of Gold Hill, NC and Dean Kranz of Boynton Beach, FL; his stepchildren, Duane Allred of Talbott and Deanne Whetsel (Jim) of Russellville; his grandchildren, Kyle Kranz, Rachel Closner, Graysen Whetsel and Caroline Whetsel; his great grandchildren, Isaiah and Julia Closner; and his sisters, Audrey Bruggeman, Ethel Baruxes and Carol Kramer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Alpha Baptist Church or the Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief Fund—two organizations close to Loren's heart.
