He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Hurd and Bertha Mae Bishop; his siblings, Fred Bishop, Jessie Bishop, Polly Cornwell, Juanita Wester, Marie McCoig and Jane Skelton; and his son Anthony Ray Bishop.
He is survived by: his wife Clara "Bertie" Bishop; his children, Robert Bishop (Lori) and Lisa Stapleton; his grandchildren, Fanta Henderson (Brandon), Shasta Stapleton and Alexis Bishop; his great grandchildren, Legion Henderson and Daiken Henderson; and his brother Lee Bishop. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
