He is survived by: his wife Imogene Champ Purkey; his children, Michael Purkey (Gwen), Joey Purkey (Debbie) and Deborah Collier Goben; his stepchildren, Tammy Keita and Eddie Collier; his grandchildren, Sheri Purkey, Teslin McLeod (Kenny), Bobby Moore, Amanda Purkey, Terry Goben (Tiffany) and Calep "Andy" Goben (Alycia); his stepgrandchildren, Khadija Keita, James Collier, Jacob Collier and Kayla Collier; his great grandchildren, Hannah, Kyleigh, Makenna, Addison, Bentley and Aaliyah; his stepgreat-grandchild Kamani Keita; and his close friend Ann. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
