We bid farewell to Wilburn Baxter of Talbott, Tennessee, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 10, 2025 at the age of 93. Wilburn touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. As we bid adieu to Wilburn's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Wilburn has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his son Stephen Benton Baxter; his parents, Alvin N. Baxter and Cora E. Baxter; and his siblings, George Baxter, L. C. Baxter, Wallace Baxter and Christina Inman.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Baxter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Westside Chapel Funeral Home, Inc. (3521 W Andrew Johnson Hwy, Morristown, TN 37814). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hamblen Memory Gardens (5421 E Andrew Johnson Hwy, Russellville, TN 37860).
