He was predeceased by: his wife Darlene Smith Waller; his parents, Cecil Waller and Minnie Crum Waller; and his siblings, Prince Waller, Lacy Waller, Noah Waller, Darrell Waller, Freddie Waller, Theodore Waller and Vernie Waller Fannin.

He is survived by: his daughters, Sharon Brewer (Darrell) and Connie Taylor (Dave); his grandchildren, Jessica Reed, Cassandra "Cassie" Lemons (Carl Jr), Amanda Brewer, Justin Closson (Beth), James Sandifer Jr. and James Taylor (Michelle); his great grandchildren, Paisley, Elizabeth, Maleigha, Sara, Gabriel, Paige, Christina, Abigail, Emma, Cylas, Cara, Chloe, Andrew, Shooter, Blainn and Jackie; and his brothers, Hubert Waller (Norma), Cecil Jr. Waller (Mary Jo), Harold Waller and Orville "Cotton" Waller.

Visitation was held on Friday, August 21st 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, August 22nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Coffey Funeral Home (937 N Broad St, New Tazewell, TN 37825). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, August 22nd 2026 at the Follow the New Bethel Cemetery.
