We are sad to announce that on August 24, 2025, at the age of 60, Jimmy Dee Simpson of Tazewell, Tennessee, born in Middlesboro, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Jimmy leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Simpson and Joyce Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Amy Simpson; his children, Ashley Barnett (Jeremy), Kelly Lynn Martin, Joey Elliott (Janie), Natasha Pass (Jeff Long) and Stephanie Lee (Elmer Lee); and his siblings, Anthony Simpson (Sunny) and Priscilla Simpson.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Overholt Funeral Home Chapel (1106 TN-33, New Tazewell, TN 37825). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Family Homestead Cemetery.
