He was predeceased by: his parents, James Day and Dossie Cupp Day; his sisters, Danna Day and Ruth Day Webb; and his son-in-law Claude Greene.

He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Noah Day; his daughters, Suzanne Anders (Stacey), Stacie Ramsey (Franklin) and Shelley Stooksburry (Scott); his grandchildren, Aaron Reed (Devon), Gracie Henry (TJ), Jonah Stooksbury (Rita), Collin Anders, Mabry Anders, Clay Stooksbury (Hannah), Dylan Stooksbury and Brylee Greene; his great grandchildren, Colter Henry and Preston Reed; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Braylin, Beau Henry and Toby Ramsey; and his brother-in-law Jim Webb.
